BANGALORE: The Ramanagaram Court issued a warrant against Lenin Karuppan, the man who exposed the sex scandal of controversial selfstyled godman Nityananda, following a complaint filed by actress Ranjitha claiming that the video tapes involving her and Nityananda had been morphed.
The Judicial Magistrate has also issued a warrant against Arathi Rao, a devotee of Nityananda who testified for Nityananda sex romp and Nityananda’s former advocate M Sridhar who allegedly turned against him later on. In a private complaint to the court, Ranjitha alleged that Lenin had hatched a conspiracy to tarnish Nityananda’s image, fabricated and morphed video tapes allegedly featuring Nityananda and her in March last year.The morphed video was aired by a private Tamil TV channel and others further damaging the reputation of the godman, she alleged in the complaint. Taking note on this, the court issued summons against the accused seeking their personal appearance to explain their stand in the case. When Lenin and others did not respond to the repeated summons, the court issued a warrant directing the police to ensure their presence through arrest.
